                       the official newsletter of
                       the Mutant Reviewers From Hell

                    ================================================

Hello to all you mutants! It's been an exciting time lately in the
development of MRFH... many changes... many reviews... many unnecessary
casualties. Let's see what's what, shall we?

        *** THE MOVIE STORE!

One of our biggest new changes is the addition of The Movie Store! In
each and every review (from Army of Darkness to Waxwork II) we have
added this new section, nestled in between Recommended For and
Intermission! In association with Amazon.com, we are providing direct
links to movie products. Want a copy of The Cutting Edge? You can buy
it (discounted!) and sent to your home overnight. Want the screenplay
for Clerks? Want both of the soundtracks (CD) to Grosse Pointe Blank?
We got 'em, and they're there for your convenience.

Video tapes, DVD, Laserdiscs, Books, CDs, and Cassettes are all
        available through The Movie Store!

        *** NEW REVIEWS

We got a bunch of 'em, so here goes:

Justin: JOE'S APARTMENT, MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000: THE MOVIE
Kym (she's back!): THE BIG HIT, THE INCREDIBLY TRUE ADVENTURES OF TWO
        GIRLS IN LOVE
Sean: CLERKS, ARMY OF DARKNESS, MST3K: THE MOVIE

        *** SUMMARY CAPSULES

A lot of our older movies didn't have these, so we went back and added
them. Wet your pants with joy.

        *** OUR MOVIES DON'T SUCK

Just to prove this, we checked out the Internet Movie Database to see
the bottom 250 and top 250 films voted by the average visitor. NONE of
the films reviewed on our page were in the bottom 250 (we should
probably work harder on that), but we were pleased to find that seven of
our movies are in the top 250:

        #62: The Professional
        #117: Clerks
        #160: Breakfast at Tiffany's
        #163: Searching for Bobby Fischer
        #207: Chasing Amy
        #223: Grosse Pointe Blank
        #233: The Game

Just thought you'd like ta know.
