It's strange and a little sad that on the stroke of midnight on this day, we will be witness to the passing of the greatest millenia of movies ever. Unless of course you're one of those nerds that continue to object that we're not really turning the new millenium until 2001, in which case you'll be sitting at home, lonely except for the satisfaction that you're right, and we're wrong.

It's been a great 1,000 years of cinema, though, no matter what stance you take. Sure, there's been stinkers, there's been Spice World, even Fran Dreschner, but all's forgiven when we see a movie that makes us smile, laugh, look fondly upon human existence, kill aliens that bleed acid. We might be really lazy here at MRFH, but we figure that we might as well do something special for 2000 AD.
