After that glowing review I just had to check this out. I didn't feel nearly as strong about it as you did but I did really like it. I didn't reread your review until after I finished AWFWTW, and so I had a lot of fun trying to guess who the voice actors were just by listening to them. Michael Bell's voice in particular was driving me crazy because I couldn't remember where I had heard it. Good old IMDB settled my soul by telling me he was the voice of Drew Pickles and Charles Finster in Rugrats, which I used to love.

Personally I've found that the comic strips of Berkeley Breathed get crappier with each new incarnation. Bloom County was good. Outland was not so good. And Opus was even less good. Hopefully Mr. Breathed will not lose his senses and come out of retirement again to unleash something even worse.

Bloom County is one of my all-time favorite comic strips. I recall seeing this short film a while back... I thought the voices were odd, but overall it was pretty decent.
